When interpreting this notice, please also take into account the content of the privacy notice on our website, as the two documents together provide you with information on the data processing related to cookies.

1. Who uses the cookies?

The cookies are used on the website of ABT Hungária Tanácsadó Kft. (hereinafter: „ABT”).

2. What is a cookie?

Cookies are variable files of letters and numbers that are stored on your computer or mobile device for a predetermined period of time. Cookies allow the website to remember your actions and personal preferences (such as your username, language, font size and other unique settings for the website's display) for a certain period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them each time you visit our website or navigate from one page to another. ABT can also use cookies to gain an insight into visitors' habits when using the website. These files cannot be executed, do not contain spyware or viruses, and cannot access users' hard disk space.

3. How can you set or turn off cookies?

When you visit our website, the site collects information through cookies. When you visit our website, you can choose the type of cookies you wish to accept.

You can change your cookie settings for this website by clicking on the „Consent preferences) ikon on the bottom left corner of the website.

It is also important that you can control the use of cookies through your browser settings. You can change your cookie settings at any time, but turning off some cookies may lower your user experience, for example, by limiting the usability of the website (or parts of it), or by losing your settings that you have previously made on the website.  If you disable the installation of cookies on your device, the web server will not place cookies the next time you visit the website.

The strictly necessary/essential cookies set out below are always necessary for the proper functioning of the website.

4. What types of cookies exist?

4.1. Strictly necessary/essential cookies

These cookies (session identifiers) are necessary to enable the user to navigate between pages and sub-pages and, where appropriate, to access protected content (e.g. only accessible to registered users). They usually only work for as long as the session (visit or browsing the website) lasts.

4.2. Functional cookies

These cookies are necessary to collect information about the user's website usage habits (e.g. language used). They help us to recognise the user, allowing an easier return to the website without having to log in again. (Once the user logs in, this cookie remains in his/her browser and the website can read it the next time the user logs in.)

4.3 Statistics cookies

Statistical cookies are used to measure the number of visits to the website and the activity of users on the website. We use the information obtained from such cookies mainly to improve and optimise the functioning of our website, making it as user-friendly as possible.

Cookies managed by Google Analytics help us to measure website traffic and other web analytics data. The information collected by cookies is transmitted to and stored on external servers operated by Google. Google will use this information primarily for the purposes of monitoring website activity and compiling an analysis of website activity for ABT. Google's processing of data is governed by the data protection provisions laid down by Google and ABT has no influence on Google's processing of data. Detailed information on the processing of data by Google Analytics can be found here.

Google's use of cookies can be disabled here.

Hotjar is a service that helps us to better understand our users' needs (e.g. how much time they spend on each page, which links they click on) and allows us to improve our service based on the feedback we receive about users' activity. Hotjar uses cookies to collect data about our users' activities. This information is stored on servers located in Germany, but the service also uses additional data processors located outside the EU (in the USA) to whom the user's IP address may be transmitted. Detailed information on the processing of data by Hotjar can be found here.

Hotjar’s use of cookies can be disabled here.

4.4. Marketing cookies

Information collected by these cookies is used to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns or to better target marketing. This is because they enable websites to provide information (marketing) that best matches the user's interests.
