The beginnings of the ABT Treuhand Group in Switzerland
The first firm in our group was established by Andreas Baumann in 1980 in Zürich, a financial centre with long-standing and rich traditions. The company started its activities on the local market and mainly operated in the Swiss fiduciary sector for small and medium-sized businesses. It provided services to both companies and private clients in all matters of taxes and legal affairs, including bookkeeping and financial auditing. Zürich has been and remains an international centre of finance, which was in line with the spirit of the newly founded company.

After the turn of 1989, new entrepreneurial prospects opened up in the former Eastern Bloc. Switzerland had long been culturally and economically connected to Hungary, a country with similar characteristics and values. Launching commercial activities on the markets opening up in Central Europe and in Hungary in particular in the course of this burgeoning economic globalisation was an obvious choice for Swiss companies.
This motivated the founder of the ABT Treuhand Group, who has maintained a relationship with Hungary and the Hungarians since his youth, to establish Andreas Baumann és Társai Kft. in Budapest in 1993.
The first typewriter of our company from 1980His goal was to assist, support and advise companies from the German-speaking world, particularly Swiss businesses, in establishing their commercial presences in Hungary. The basic principles and philosophy of the Zürich-based Andreas Baumann & Co. served as a benchmark for the way in which the entrepreneurial activities of Andreas Baumann és Társai Kft. should be conducted. The Hungarian ABT Treuhand Group thus adopted the work methods and principles used in Switzerland. Based on the experiences of the past 24 years, we can safely say that these have also proved reliable in Hungary. The Andreas Baumann Treuhand Group later changed its name to ABT Treuhand Group, showing the world that ABT companies are a community of qualified consultants, partners and employees.
Risk management - our newest service
In 2012, with the leadership of Ferenc Smohay, the company group started offering its newest service, focusing on risk management. The corresponding team consists of specially trained and qualified experts in SAP risk management and controlling. Since its establishment, this team developed into one of the most successful divisions of the ABT Treuhand Group.
